ZTE, an international provider of telecommunications, business, and consumer technology solutions for mobile Internet and devices, officially presents its new flagship smartphone, the ZTE Axon 30 Ultra. A device that will be launched next Monday in China and since May internationally through the website www.ztedevices.com.
The device is equipped with three 64MP main cameras and one 8MP periscope zoom camera, with the aim of putting the creativity of its users to the test with the most advanced photography and video capabilities. This is also due to the Trinity camera system, a high-powered system that leads the third generation of innovation in mobile imaging technology.
Ni Fei, President of ZTE Devices, commented: “Computational photography is the imaging future of smartphone development. Compared to real professional photographic equipment, the greatest capability of smartphones is computing power, whether in the Edge or cloud technology through the third-generation imaging algorithm pioneered by ZTE. ” In the future, through this built-in capability, with a more powerful AI algorithm and increased capabilities in the cloud, channel, and terminals, there will be an opportunity to create higher quality than single-lens reflex cameras in mobile photography through computational photography methods, “said Fei.
Three 64MPx Main Cameras with Quad Matrix Imaging Evolution
Since the first camera built into a smartphone was introduced to the world in September 2000, mobile imaging technology has experienced single and multi-camera technologies. Now, the evolution is heading towards the third generation of multi-camera matrix fusion imaging. The ZTE Axon 30 Ultra adopts ZTE’s original Trinity triple main camera and quad matrix imaging system, able to perfectly match image quality and color. The photography and design of the 64-megapixel triple main camera plus the 60X periscope super zoom lens array achieve the highest quality images.
Its lens module equivalent focal lengths from 13mm to 123mm, allowing users to take long-shot, medium-shot, and close-up full-focus photos with a simple click. It also incorporates the new “take photos first, zoom later” function, so that photos can be freely enlarged between different focal lengths in a creative way.
Distortion-free ultra-wide-angle shooting for exceptional night scenes
The ZTE Axon 30 Ultra has three main cameras, each with its own function. The main portrait camera has a 35mm equivalent focal length and f / 1.9 aperture, suitable for taking 64MP high definition environmental portrait photos. The main wide-angle camera spans 120 ° with a large 64MP resolution for sharper details even when magnified multiple times. The introduction of a low-distortion camera and computational photography setting allows for quality wide-angle photos, without distortion at the edges, whether taking a photo of a building or a group photo, for example.
When recording night scenes, the phone switches to the main camera, capable of capturing dim light in dark environments. At the same time, all three main cameras support the Super Night AI algorithm to make it easy to take bright, clear, and detailed night photos in all scenarios. Furthermore, the Super Moon mode of the ZTE Axon 30 Ultra relies on multiple cameras and simultaneous fusion calculations to magnify the moon to the correct position to match the same perspective as the human eye.
Its three main cameras enable scene matching and algorithm optimization with the robust flagship performance of the Qualcomm® Snapdragon ™ 888 mobile platforms. This provides a wealth of information and dynamic range for fusion computational imaging and enables the lenses to Go from single shots to multi-camera capture. This technology is laying the foundation for the next era of evolution in light field imaging technology.
A movie camera in the palm of your hand
The ZTE Axon 30 Ultra offers a professional cinema-quality video system with a multi-camera recording function that allows you to open all three screens and obtain different video recording focal lengths with a single click. The built-in templates for recording videos can also guide camera movement, transitions, and more, making it easy to create impressive videos. At the same time, 8K ultra HD video recordings, various video filters, special visual effects, and other features are included to meet the expectations of the most demanding imagers.
The ZTE Axon 30 Ultra is equipped with Steadicam level image stabilization in the main and periscope cameras, supporting OIS (Optical Image Stabilization), whether in motion scenes or in unstable scenarios and achieving a stable recording.
Flawless design, powerful performance
The ZTE Axon 30 Ultra features a double-curved design, with an environmentally friendly AG etching process and 15 elaborate processes to achieve a near-silky tactile feel thanks to a custom sanding and etching formula. This gives a smooth grain feel and a good gloss effect that is more resistant to scratches, wear and tear, is anti-glare and fingerprint-proof. The launch colors will be black, white, blue, and light brown.
The 6.67-inch AMOLED display has a high 144Hz refresh rate and a 300Hz touch sample rate. It supports a 100% DCI P3 color gamut and 10-bit color depth, making it a perfect display for watching movies or playing video games.
As ZTE’s flagship smartphone for this year 2021, the ZTE Axon 30 Ultra is equipped with the Qualcomm® Snapdragon ™ 888 mobile platform, with a 5nm processor, in addition to a combination of improved LPDDR5 high-speed memory and UFS 3.1. It incorporates a 66W super-fast charging adapter that also greatly shortens the charging time. The MyOS11 system, based on Android 11, also provides users with a more seamless and personal experience.
The ZTE Axon 30 Ultra series is now available for preorder in China and will officially go on sale on April 19. The international version will go on sale next May on the website www.ztedevices.com.
