Smartphones have entered our lives so catalytically in recent years that it would not be an exaggeration to say that they are an extension of our hand. They have inevitably brought with them the nightmare of modern times, the danger of losing them.
Fortunately, technology has advanced a lot in this area as well, and experts have devised various measures that we can take to protect our personal data.
Here’s how to put one together for use with your favorite smartphone:
- Secure the cell phone: lock the screen with a password, fingerprint, or even face recognition. If you have the option, even lock the operating system’s “load” when you turn on the phone.
2. Enable the Find application: on Android, Google has included the “Find My Device” feature, which you will find in Settings, Security, and which you need to enable, along with Location.
3. Activate the lock from afar: if your mobile phone is stolen, go directly to the site android.com/find, give your Gmail account and the application starts searching your device and if it finds it you can lock it or delete everything.
4. Don’t look for thieves: if you find your cell phone, don’t try to find it yourself, but let the police know.
