As often happens, Apple aroused expectations by confirming that it will make the first launches of the year this Tuesday, April 20. The event is called ‘Spring Loaded’ and some of the announcements that ‘the apple brand’ will make are already known.
Due to the pandemic, the ‘Spring Loaded’ will be made online and will be broadcast on the Apple website. It is already the fifth virtual conference that the company does, after a meeting of developers and the separate launches of the latest Apple Watch, iPhone 12, and Macs with M1 processors.
The highlight of this event is that there will be a presentation of new products, according to Bloomberg reports. These are the launches they would make:
New iPad Pro line
Apple would present a new line of iPad Pro as the main novelty. They will come in the same 11 and 12.9-inch screen sizes as current models but will add processors along with the latest Mac chips, a new MiniLED screen in the larger model, updated cameras, and there is talk of a connector upgrade for faster data sync and support for additional external monitors and storage drives.
The iPad Pro has faced production problems due to new display technology and may initially be short on supply, Bloomberg News recently reported. During the last quarter of 2020, the iPad generated $ 8.4 billion in revenue for Apple, the highest since 2014. Sales increased as a result of demand from people who worked and studied from home during the pandemic.
AirTags
Apple is expected to introduce the AirTags accessory, which has been talked about since last year as it is a technology that can shake the market.
It is a physical device tracker. Something like a ‘Find my iPhone’ but can be synchronized with anything: keys, briefcases, appliances, and more.
It is expected to work by connecting a small device to anything and to be traceable via Bluetooth.
Will they present a new iPhone?
The product that generates the most expectation in this type of event is the iPhone. However, in ‘Spring Loaded’ there would be no presentation of a new cell phone.
Most likely, we will have to wait until after September, the month in which news about the iPhone is normally presented, in an event completely dedicated to the new line of Apple phones.
More Announcements
At the event, Apple is also likely to announce the release date of iOS 14.5, an upcoming software update that will introduce new privacy protections for tracking ads in apps and websites.
The update has caused friction with companies like Facebook Inc., which has said the changes could affect its advertising business.
