Fuchsia OS-based Device From Google Appears in Bluetooth SIG

Google has been working on its own operating system for some time now, called Fuchsia OS. The new platform has not yet debuted on real devices, but the first device of Fuchsia OS is already appearing.

A Google Home Hub powered by Fuchsia OS has been identified in the Bluetooth SIG’s database. The first Home Hub was released in 2018 and later renamed Nest Hub. The Nest Hub is a smart display for home use that you can interact with via Google Assistant, play videos from your smartphone, for example, control smart home devices, play music, or use as a photo frame.

The Bluetooth SIG has a registered Home Hub version that runs on the Fuchsia 1.0 operating system. The original device, by the way, is powered by Google Cast. Google is probably testing the OS on an old or modified version of the Home Hub.

In any case, it is now clear that Fuchsia OS is not forgotten, and someday we will see it on real Google devices.
