CD Projekt Red has gone through a rough period since the failed launch of Cyberpunk 2077, but apparently not to the end. Today it became known that the game director of The Witcher 3 Konrad Tomaszkiewicz left the Polish company, CD Projekt Red, due to accusations of bullying in the workplace.
According to a Bloomberg report, CDPR conducted months of investigations into Tomashkevich’s behavior, which ultimately found him not guilty of any wrongdoing. However, Tomashkevich announced that he was leaving CDPR in an email to staff, in which he acknowledged that he had created an environment of fear, stress, and discomfort.
In his email, Tomashkevich says that he will “continue to work on himself.” CD Projekt Red declined to comment on the matter. In addition to directing The Witcher 3, Konrad Tomaszkiewicz was a minor director and producer for Cyberpunk 2077 and was expected to take the lead again in the next major project, The Witcher. Of course, CDPR is more than just one person, but Tomashkevich’s departure is quite a serious blow to the company.
