Initially, it was assumed that the official premiere of the iPad Mini 6 will take place in the first half of 2021, but at the April Spring Loaded event from tablets, Apple presented only the updated iPad Pro. According to the latest data from the rarely erroneous analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the announcement of the new generation of iPad Mini will only take place in the second half of this year.
According to preliminary data, the iPad Mini 6 will not stand out with any radical innovations. It will feature an 8.4-inch display with thinner bezels than the previous model and will be equipped with a Touch ID fingerprint reader as well as a Lightning port. A display based on mini-LED technology is not yet available. This type of screen, according to Min-Chi Kuo, will appear only in one of the next generations of iPad Mini.
As a reminder, the mini-LED display is currently only used in the iPad Pro 12.9 (2021). Even the 11-inch version of the 2021 iPad Pro got a regular IPS panel with support for 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10 high dynamic range.
