Google is preparing a major update for the cloud gaming service Google Stadia. According to the developers, version 3.15 will include support for the new “bridge mode” feature. This mode will allow users to connect any smartphone to the gaming service device and turn the screen of the mobile device into a full-fledged touchscreen gamepad.
The game service supports work on TV through a proprietary set-top box. To start the game, you need to connect a gamepad to the system and select a project. For some, the factory gamepad may seem inconvenient or even missing. Therefore, for those who are just starting to immerse themselves in the world of video games and do not have an arsenal of gaming accessories at hand, the new software will come in handy – we install the proprietary Stadia application on an Android device and set up a smartphone as a controller.
The developers also promise that after the update, the service will receive support for third-party controllers, which will also connect via a portable device.
