Google has just announced new features to Google Duo, its personal video call application, which will now allow video calls from its web version, while the app will add a new family mode.
The familiar mode of Google Duo is a modality that allows adding virtual masks and effects so that the members of the call can transform into astronauts or cats, for example, as Google has reported in a statement.
This familiar version is activated through the menu and hides the buttons to mute audio and block video to prevent accidental tapping, and like all other calls, it provides end-to-end encryption.
The effects and virtual filters of this familiar mode will also be available to other Duo users through the iOS and Android apps on the occasion of Mother’s Day in the United States, which is celebrated this Sunday.
Google’s personal video calling application will also begin offering the ability to make group calls from its web version, available at duo.google.com.
This novelty will arrive in the coming weeks through a test function to Chrome, which will allow you to see more people at the same time through a new interface.
