Foxconn Raised Employee Bonuses Three Times Within a Month For iPhone 13 Mass Production

According to reports, in order to welcome the upcoming iPhone 13 mass production, Foxconn’s Zhengzhou plant has raised bonuses for new hires three times within a month.

According to the recruitment information of the “Digital Product Business Group” (iDPBG) of Foxconn’s Zhengzhou plant, if new employees on the production line have worked for 90 days and have been on the job for at least 55 days, they will receive a bonus of RMB 7,500. iDPBG is responsible for producing iPhones for Apple.

This amount is higher than the 6,500 Yuan bonus provided on April 26 and the 6,000 yuan bonus provided on April 15 and is more than double the 3,500 Yuan bonus provided at the end of March.

In this regard, Foxconn said in a statement today: “Due to company policy and commercial sensitivity considerations, we will not comment on any aspect of specific operations or any work done for any customer.”

Analysts said that Foxconn’s award of more bonuses to new employees was seen as an indicator for the company to increase iPhone production before Apple’s new-generation iPhone (tentatively referred to as “iPhone 13“) is released in the second half of this year.

In contrast, in August and September last year, the bonus for new employees at Foxconn’s Zhengzhou plant reached 9,000 Yuan, that is, 90 days of employment and 55 days of attendance. In addition to 3 months of salary and overtime, a one-time bonus of 9,000 Yuan was also awarded.
