A Facebook bug in its developer software development tool (SDK) has caused service issues and massive crashes in several apps for Apple’s iOS operating system including Spotify, TikTok, Pinterest, and Tinder.
This fall in iOS applications has taken place during Wednesday and Thursday, as users have denounced on Twitter, and had a special incidence between 6 and 7 a.m. on Wednesday as collected by Downdetector for Spotify and Tiktok.
The service problems are due to an error caused by an update to the Facebook SDK for iOS, which allows these applications to use the registry through their accounts on the American company’s social network.
It’s not just Spotify, here is a current list of all the apps that aren’t working right now:

There’s more, your phone isn’t broken, it’s the apps
Unregistered users through Facebook were also affected, according to The Verge, and among the affected services are Spotify, TikTok, Pinterest, Tinder, and GrubHub.
“A new version of Facebook included a change that caused problems for some users in some applications that used the Facebook SDK for iOS,” as a Facebook spokesperson has acknowledged in a statement to the aforementioned medium.
To stop crashes from the Facebook SDK, some devs tried commenting out any code that calls Facebook. Nothing worked.

Facebook claimed that its SDK problem was “identified and quickly resolved” on Wednesday, but some apps like Spotify and TikTok continued to experience problems on Thursday as well, according to Downdetector.
