In the projects of the Blizzard studio, there are three games in the Diablo universe at once: Diablo 2 Resurrected, Diablo 4, and mobile Diablo Immortal. From time to time Blizzard pleases fans with new details about these games, and recently the studio confirmed that Diablo Immortal will be released before the end of this year.
On an Activision Blizzard teleconference, the studio’s COO Daniel Alegre said Diablo Immortal “is gearing up for a global release later this year.” Not so long ago, a mobile game entered the second phase of alpha testing, and below you can see what the game looks like at the current stage of development.
As you can see from the gameplay cutscene, Diablo Immortal borrows a lot from Diablo 3. However, so far, the battles still look a little boring and not colorful. Also unlike Diablo 3, mobile Diablo Immortal will have navigation that will highlight the path to the player’s goal.
Also in the near future (possibly in the summer), Blizzard will launch first a closed beta test of Diablo Immortal, and then the MBT. The exact release date of the game will be announced later.
