Apple Starts Distributing Clips 3.1 Compatible With AR Using LiDAR Scanner

Apple has started distributing the video clip app “Clips 3.1” for iPhone / iPad for free on the App Store.

A system environment of iOS 14.5, iPad OS 14.5 or later is required.

What’s new in version 3.1

• AR Space (Augmented Reality with LiDAR Scanner) allows you to create realistic effects that map to room contours and add new dimensions to your video *
• Choose from 7 AR spaces, including rainbow-colored ribbons, festive confetti, magical stardust, and a lively dance floor.
• Record your friends in AR space and see how the animation effects are applied to the people in the room
• Combine text labels, stickers, and emoji with AR space to make your videos even more personal
• You can switch between showing only the video or the entire interface when mirroring to the second display using Clips on the iPad
• Select multiple projects at once and quickly delete or duplicate them
• You can edit the text on posters and labels when your iPhone is in landscape orientation
• Receive notifications when new stickers, posters, and effects are released in Clips
