The famous video conferencing software Zoom has obtained Apple’s special API, which can call the camera when the iPad is split-screen.
According to reports, application developer Jeremy Provost first discovered this situation. This special API provided by Apple to Zoom is neither provided to other developers nor publicly acknowledged, but only as a unique “right” of Zoom.
As early as February, a Zoom official revealed on the developer forum that they can use the “com.apple.developer.avfoundation.muldTasking-Camera-Access” API or iPad camera multitasking authorization.
At present, Apple and Epic are in the fiery stage of litigation. This new discovery is expected to become Epic’s evidence to show that Apple has conducted unfair and monopolistic App Store management.
And Apple previously promised that it will provide a fair and equal App battlefield for all developers.
