The new Apple iPhone 12 will be equipped with a 120 Hz refresh rate screen, in addition to adding improvements to Face ID, the biometric identification system. These new features, reported by leak analyst Max Weinbach, were represented in various renders on the EverythingApplePro YouTube channel.
Beyond some image or characteristic that analysts usually publish, these productions seek to give a visual aspect to the functions and advances that these leaks anticipate. Based on information posted by Weinbach on his Twitter account, the iPhone 12 will feature the same ProMotion display that Apple used for the latest iPad Pro models. For this reason, analysts speculate two possible scenarios for the Apple smartphone: a larger battery or a variable refresh rate, which goes from 60 to 120 Hz depending on use.
With a straight-edged design that leaves curves in the frames behind, the iPhone 12 will have a smaller notch, but its front sensors will have an improvement in Face ID’s facial recognition angle. For its part, the main camera will also add the LiDAR sensor, the recent improvement that iPad Pro tablets incorporated.
September will be the scheduled date for the formal announcement of the new iPhone 12, although Apple may delay its commercial launch due to delays in its production line in China due to the coronavirus pandemic.
