Apple Begins Distributing watchOS 7.4 Supports Unlocking iPhone X

Apple has begun distributing the “watchOS 7.4” Update update via iOS 14> Apple Watch> General> Software Update on the iPhone.

Your Apple Watch must meet the following conditions to install the update:

• It is within the communication range of iPhone
• Apple Watch is connected to Wi-Fi
• 50% or more charged

watchOS 7.4 includes the following new features, improvements, and bug fixes:

• Ability to unlock iPhone X and later using Apple Watch when authenticating with Face ID while wearing a mask that covers the face
• The option to classify the type of Bluetooth device in “Settings” correctly identifies the headphone to which the voice notification is sent.
• Apple Fitness + workout content allows audio/video streaming to AirPlay 2 compatible TVs and devices
• Supports “ECG” App for Apple Watch Series 4 or later in Australia and Vietnam
• Supports irregular heart rate notifications in Australia and Vietnam
