Apple recently unveiled several new devices, including a brand new product for the company, AirTag. It is a smart tracker that connects to compatible devices via Bluetooth and transmits location to the nearest device. The enthusiast decided to take advantage of this feature and eliminated the eternal problem of the home user – he assembled a TV remote control that cannot be lost.
A user with the nickname AngerDanger shared an interesting revision with the Macrumors resource. He solved the problem of the ever-disappearing TV remote with Apple AirTag. To do this, he had to disassemble both the remote control and the Airtag.
The enthusiast said that in order to save space, he had to abandon the built-in AirTag battery, as well as exclude the vibration speaker, which does not function without the factory tag body. But this did not affect the quality of work – the AirTag is powered by two AAA batteries, which are installed in the factory connector of the remote control.
The iPhone detects the new device in the remote control and shows its location with high accuracy.
