AMD has yet to unveil its RDNA 2 professional graphics cards. The new Radeon Pro W6000 family should replace Navi and Vega GPUs. AMD Radeon Pro W6800 was spotted in the User benchmark database.
According to the information received, the device with the identifier 1002 73A3, 1002 0E1E is equipped with a Big Navi graphics chip. It is not yet known what kind of Navi 21 modification it is, but we do know that the adapter will receive 32 GB of GDDR6 video memory and 128 MB of Infinity cache.
The future novelty was tested in old workloads DX9 and DX10, nevertheless, the presented table reflects well what level of performance the video card shows. In terms of its characteristics, it turned out to be closer to the Radeon RX 6800 XT than to the Radeon RX 6800. At the same time, we must not forget that the Radeon RX 6000 series gaming video cards have much better driver optimization than the not yet released Radeon Pro W6000. The flagship NVIDIA RTX A6000 graphics card outperforms AMD’s solution but comes with a much larger 48GB of memory, which cannot but affect its cost.
Of course, AMD is working on several versions of the W6000 Pro. We already saw the 16GB variant in April, and the new Navi 23-based mobile Radeon Pro W6600M graphics chips for notebooks have also been confirmed. The launch of the new series can be expected in the coming months.
