As YouTuber Coreteks, who previously posted reliable leaks about AMD products, reported today, FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR) technology is already being tested by developers and will be launched on the mass market in June this year.
Coreteks claims AMD FSR is already in the hands of game developers. The insider, according to him, received this information from several independent market players. According to him, there is a certain difference between the versions received by the developers – this suggests that AMD has not yet decided on the final version of the FSR.
The most surprising part of Coreteks’ video announcement is the suggestion that FidelityFX Super Resolution will hit the market in June. This is much earlier than the numerous previous leaks promised. Not much is known from official sources: In March, AMD top manager Scott Herkelman said that the company will launch FSR this year, without any reference to an exact date.
And another surprise from Coreteks: it claims that FSR will be compatible with NVIDIA GPUs. This is really hard to believe: although it is technologically possible, it is unlikely that NVIDIA will allow AMD to use their video cards, given that the company already has DlSS technology. In the end, no one has canceled the competition yet.
