There are those times when we work out with our laptop and we do not have access to an outlet, which makes it necessary to maximize battery life.
The duration of which varies of course from device to device, but it necessarily depends on the use we make. The inconvenient truth, however, is that it usually doesn’t last as long as we’d like, and there are many factors that affect it, with some obvious ones, such as the number of applications we run, and others less obvious, such as the temperature of the space we work.
So let’s look at two simple tips to save battery life, as the well-known PC Mag technology website gives us.
Change the battery settings
Windows 10 has a new feature that groups all of these settings that affect battery consumption (battery performance slider). The choice we need here is not Best Performance or Better Performance, not even Better Battery (which is recommended by most manufacturers), but Battery Saver, which only appears when the laptop is running out of power.
This option will reduce the brightness of the screen by 30%, suspend Windows updates, and close virtually all of these applications running in the background.
Simplify your way of working
It is more than certain that you do not need to open all these applications when you have energy consumption in mind. Only open those that are absolutely necessary for the job you are doing, ideally an application at a time, and you will see a big difference in battery life, PC Mag always points out.
In fact, if you don’t even need the internet, because you’re writing a Word text, for example, turn on Airplane mode and see battery consumption minimizes.
